A mobile app that scans products while you shop, checks them against your dietary preferences and flags incompatible ingredients, with AI-powered personalized recommendations.
The problem
Reading every ingredient list in a store is slow, and people with dietary restrictions or health goals easily miss problem ingredients.
What I built
- Product scanning that checks ingredients against each user's dietary preferences
- Instant alerts for incompatible ingredients to encourage healthier choices
- Personalized diet recommendations powered by the OpenAI API
- Real-time updates through Firebase push notifications and scheduled cron jobs
- Express and MongoDB backend with media on AWS S3 and Firebase Storage, hosted on Azure
